2nd week: Everything here  is so much fun for me



August 13, 2018

Today is our first day at SMP Labs School. We went to the school at 7 a.m. to join the flag ceremony. and then we had discussion with English pre-service teachers at Labschool and our mentors Mr.Kruwawan at the library about the lesson plan and curriculum of this school. We had no class today because students grade 7 didn’t come to school. After we finished our discussion, we can go back dorm and find something to eat.  In the evening, we had a welcoming dinner at “Restoran Sederhana” with friends from sea-teacher program.




August 14, 2018

We went to school at 8 am. Today we observed miss Nur and Miss Sari’s classes. The students are very active and very good at English, they can speak fluently and communicate in English very well. And we back dorm around 3 pm. We had to prepare our lesson plan and PowerPoint  presentation for tomorrow.  



August 15, 2018

My first teaching here 7B and 7D. The lesson is about greeting including parting apologizing and thanking. The students are very smart they can speak English and understand the lesson very fast. So, I need to improve some details to be harder and it would be more challenge for them.






August 16, 2018

Our school cerebrate the Indonesia’s Independent Day. Thee play game and sport and we also join them. 






 
August 17, 2018

Join the celebration of Indonesia’s Independence Day. Today we join lots of activities, dancing, playing musical chairs, the games that we won is moving water. We enjoyed traditional foods and have lots of fun and we won the game, got voucher 500,000 Rps.







August 18, 2018

We didn’t go to anywhere so we just did our lesson plan and prepare for teaching at the dormitory. Because of yesterday we won the game and got money voucher from BNI Bank, we decided to buy water but we can’t carry it to our dorm because it’s very heavy. Fortunately, there were two men help us to carry it “terima kasih”



August 19, 2018

I went to hiking at Sukawana with the students and principal and teacher SMP Pelita Nusantara School  and they treat us breakfast and lunch and sent us to dormitory. We didn’t pay money for everything. They are so nice.

4 th week: I don’t want to left now August 27,2018 Today is my demonstration day. I have been evaluated by my mentor. I was very nervous but I did my best for teaching today. My mentor said that I have to improve pronunciation and the opening part, asking students about background knowledge and get closer to them by using informal talk to create a good atmosphere for studying. My activity is good and interesting. August 28,2018 Today was the heaviest day for me. Jasmin amd me have to teach in 8 hours, 7F,7C,7D and 7A continuously to fulfill our teaching hour.7F,7C,7D and 7A. I was exhausted when I came back dormitory, the first thing that I did was “Sleeping”   August 29,2018 We taught for the last day at school. 1. SCHOOL PROFILE SMP Labschool UPI HISTORY The idea of ​​establishing a Laboratory School along with the birth of PTPG (20 October 1954) who turned into FKIP then became IKIP, and became UPI. In 1960 a kindergarten was established, in 1964 a junior high school was established followed by the presence of high school. All of them function as Laboratory Schools.
