1st week: The new chapter of my journey has begun...
August 6-7, 2018
Our journey started from 2 p.m. at Nakhon
Pathom Rajabhat University. We departed from Thailand We have to waite for
transit at Changhi International Airport, Singapore for 14 hours because there
is no direct flight to Bandung. So, we had to slept there.
Fortunately, the airport provided a free tour
for the tourists who had been waited for at least 5 hours. So, we decided to
join this tour. There is a tour guild who took us to The Central Business
District, China Town, Little India, Kampong Glam and Malay Heritage Centre and
had a stopover at Merlion Park.
We arrived Bandung on the 7 Aug in the
evening. Dira (our buddy) came to pick us up at the airport and went to UPI to
meet Philippines friends and got into our room. In the evening we went to have
dinner and buy some stuff together by using Angot, only 2000 Rps for Angot’s fee.
August 8, 2018
I went to join the Open Ceremony in the
morning and met our mentors for each school and got an activity schedule.
Then we have a campus tour to tour around the
campus by our buddies.
In the afternoon, we had to joined in the Campus
Orientation by Mr. Vidi, We had learned about culture and the information for our
school. After that, We went to the Borma by using Angkot to buy foods and stuff.
August 9, 2018
I went to my school “Labs school UPI” for the
first time with my 2 Filipino friends. We had school
orientation with the principals and teachers in our major. We had a chance to
go around school by my mentor, Mr.Kurniawan to see the classrooms and also
greeting our 7 grade students, they are very active and excited. They made me
nervous how I can carry their class, it’s challenge for me because this is my
first time for teaching the students in the real class but I will do it my
best. After that, we went back to the
dormitory and take a rest.
August 10, 2018
Today is a school off. In the morning, we went
to stadium for jogging without paying money because we didn’t bring our money
with us and we told the staff that we are Thai and Filipinos therefore, they
allowed us to get in without fee. In the evening, we went to visit Cihampelas walk,
where is very big and lots of shops there. We had dinner there, it was Sato Ayam
and it was great and affordable. Then we walk around to check the price of
things and preparing to buy some souvenir for my parents and friends Today was
the first day for us to take grab, it was good, comfortable and cheap. So, next time we are going to use it again.
August 11, 2018
Our first excursion at Saung Angklung Udjo. We enjoys the anklung
shows, which was awesome and wonderful. We also can buy a souvenir here, so the thing I bought was the little angklung key rings.
August 12, 2018
We went to FarmHouse Susu Lambang with our
buddies. We paid 25,000 Rps for entrants but we can return it into a glass of
milk and I chose chocolate milk, that was good. And we walked around, took
photos and enjoys there. After that, we back and ate lunch with buddies at the restaurant,
where not too far from our university so we can walk back to our dorm.
